Why everyone needs waterproof flooring

Why everyone needs waterproof flooring

It doesn?t matter where you live or what the weather conditions are like because waterproof flooring will also eliminate any of your worries about those "oops!" moments, like spills. Up until recently, your only choices were tile and luxury vinyl (LVF), but thanks to evolving technology, you now have other waterproof floorings from which to choose. Please continue reading to learn more.

Waterproof vinyl flooring, taking the industry by storm

While LVF is entirely impervious to liquid, this is a form of engineered luxury vinyl, making it even thicker and giving it a technologically advanced core. There are two cores from which to choose: WPC (wood plastic composite) and SPC (stone plastic composite), and both offer an even higher level of protection, without peeling or rippling, no matter how much water there is or for how long. We know someone who left his home for weeks only to return to find an appliance flood; damage was non-existent because he had this type of vinyl on his floors. Constructed with 100% waterproof materials, it can be spilled on or submerged and will always come out looking fine.

Just because it?s hard-working doesn't mean there isn't a lot of style. Like LVF, there are true-to-life images of wood, stone, or tiles with three-dimensional and textured appearances. The floor is also durable and low maintenance with an installation technique that?s fast and uncomplicated, the floating floor.

Waterproof laminate flooring: What many have been waiting for!

Although the original laminate is highly water-resistant and considered by some to be almost waterproof, this version has a unique construction with backings and coatings that keep liquid from absorbing and staining. However, keep in mind that the construction makes it waterproof from the top only, meaning that you can spill but not submerge. This has the same style as wood-look laminate; if you prefer stone or tile echoes, it can also be cut into square, tile-sized pieces.
